Over the Christmas period, Spazio Natta hosted an engaging interactive installation created as part of the Christmas initiatives of the City of Como. Active from Dec. 6 to Jan. 6, the Santa’s Sleigh experience offered children and families an immersive journey capable of combining technology, storytelling and imagination.
The installation allowed groups of up to 10 people at a time, especially children, to board Santa’s sleigh and experience a virtual flyover of the city of Como. The route began from the top of the city’s most iconic monuments, and then continued above the first lake basin, through clouds and mountain landscapes, and on to immerse itself in striking scenery such as the Northern Lights.
The trip culminated in Rovaniemi, at its quaint Christmas market, where participants met Santa Claus himself. Direct interaction was the heart of the experience: Santa Claus conversed with the children, handed out symbolic gifts and exchanged Christmas greetings with them, making the moment personal, exciting and memorable.
With a duration of about 10 minutes, the experience is designed to provide a high level of engagement, combining immersive settings, narrative interaction and collective enjoyment. The installation thus helped to enhance Spazio Natta as a place to experiment with interactivity applied to events, transforming the magic of Christmas into a shared experience accessible to all ages.
