S-TABLE and BAOBAB, the two creations of Belgian designer
Xavier Lust
, were unveiled during an art installation at Superstudio during MDF’s Fuorisalone in collaboration with Cristalplant.

In a completely black space that was completely dark, a projection simulated a white sheet hanging on the wall. The idea was to suggest that a work of ingenuity, a creative thought capable of making hands shape even the hardest of materials was taking place behind a cloth and that, once the perfect form was found, it would take on life and vigor to the point of emerging and showing itself in its materiality. For this purpose, we used the expedient of projecting the shadow generated by the object’s volume onto the ground.
