Focus Live 2023: An Immersive Experience at Milan’s Museum of Science and Technology

Focus Live is the science popularization festival that took place from November 3-5, 2023.

The event focused on innovation, creativity and curiosity, presenting 40 installations in five thematic areas. Technology, Sustainability, Science, Space and Health were the focus of the lectures and activities offered. The program offered meetings, talks, workshops and performances, involving experts in the field. The goal was to promote knowledge by stimulating curiosity and fun. Innovative formats and events allowed the audience to experience various technologies, including augmented reality, for a truly immersive experience.

The success of the event was highlighted by the participation of more than 18,000 people.

Shake opened the festival with a hologram of sailor Giovanni Soldini, interacting with presenter Raffaele Leone. The special effects were highly appreciated by the audience as evidenced by the smartphones pointed at the screen.

In the Experience Trail, two areas were set up, “WE ARE ALL ASTRONAUITS” and “THE GREAT GAME.”

In “WE ARE ALL ASTRONAUTS,” visitors were taken on a space journey by a guide. They were thus able to experience the excitement of the first lunar missions. They also had the ability to interact with each other, take hold of planets, lunar modules and space probes.

In “THE BIG GAME,” children experienced an adventure on a reindeer-drawn sleigh to the magical Toy Factory.

The experience showed how technology, science and curiosity can bring people together, leaving lasting memories of an extraordinary day.
